Larimar Bracelet Handmade by Navajo Eloise Kee
Stone was challenging to photograph as their is are blurry inclusions within the stone. It is in focus.
Larimar is rare in that it is only found in one tiny region of the Dominican Republic, where a mountain range with dormant tectonic activity meets the sea. Although known by locals and ancestors for well over a century, it wasn’t mined for export until the 1970’s and made its way into Native American jewelry in the 90s.
While Larimar is still actively being mined, truly beautiful specimens like the stones (clarity, color) in these earrings are increasingly harder to find - and this price reflects that.
